1.               Aim   The aim of the Salisbury & District Cricket Association is to implement the Wiltshire Cricket Board (WCB) Policy and work in partnership with the appropriate individuals and agencies. To improve opportunities for people to take part and progress in cricket in the Salisbury District.

 

2.               Management Of The Association

 

a.                 The Salisbury & District Cricket Association shall be managed by Officers, i.e. a Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer who shall be elected at an Annual General Meeting on a 3 yearly cycle.

 

b.                All County affiliated Clubs within the Salisbury District are eligible to attend an AGM and have 1 vote per club.

 

c.                 Further development sections may be co-opted onto the main committee at any time following a majority committee vote.

 

d.                The County CDO and/or his representative may be invited to attend all meetings.

 

3.        Meetings

 

a.                 The Annual General Meeting shall be held in March with the following agenda items:

 

i)                   Achievements and Disappointments in the previous year

 

ii)                 Financial statement covering the previous year.

 

iii)                Other issues and problems.

 

iv)               Proposed future actions and budgets

 

v)                 Election Of Officers.

 

b.                14 days notice of an AGM or EGM shall be given to eligible members of the Group.

 

c.                 A minimum of 3 eligible members may call an EGM.

 

d.                A majority vote shall be required for any proposal at any meeting.  The Chairman will carry the casting vote.

 

e.                 5 members shall form a quorum.

 

f.                  The association shall meet at least 4 times per year.

 

4.         Equity Policy Statement

 

a.                 The Salisbury & District Cricket Association is committed to ensuring that equity is incorporated across all aspects of its development.  The association is committed to everyone having the right to enjoy their sport in an environment free from threat of intimidation, harassment and abuse.

 

b.                All members have a responsibility to oppose discriminatory behaviour and promote equality of opportunity.

 

c.                 The association will deal with any incidence of discriminatory behaviour seriously, according to the association disciplinary procedures.

 

d.                To ensure a duty of care to all members of the Club by adopting and implementing the ECB 'Safe Hands - Welfare of young people in cricket' policy and any future versions of the policy'.

 

5.         Finances

 

a.                 The Salisbury & District Cricket Association shall receive funding direct from WCB but shall also seek to raise money from other legitimate sources to fund its aims. All development groups shall come under the control of the main bank account.

 

b.                The annual accounts shall be drawn up as at the 31st December of each calendar year.

 

c.                 The Salisbury & District Cricket Association bank account shall require any 2 out of 3 Officers nominated as signatories.

 

d.                In the event of dissolution of the Salisbury & District Cricket Association all debts must have been paid and any assets passed to the Wiltshire Cricket Board.

 

6.         Constitution

 

a.                 Any changes to the constitution can only be made at an AGM or EGM or a directed by the game governing body.
